This tool is focused on promoting urban regeneration in Spain and helping decision-making for the design of regeneration plans and strategies at an urban scale, from the neighborhood to the municipal scale, in line with the ERESEE 2020 (Long-term Renovation Strategy of Spain).
The main objective is to facilitate decision-making on an urban scale, based on the exploitation by building typology of the results obtained in the ERESEE 2020 for the “Renovation of priority envelope” package.
The methodology used, based on the urbanZEB tool, allows an architectural characterization of the residential stock of each municipality. On this basis, the current energy diagnosis is carried out, as well as the improvement proposal, using the energy simulator on an urban scale that allows defining the energy and economic impacts of the renovation.
The information comes from the results of the ERESEE2020, which are framed in point “7.2. Cost-effective approaches for the renovation and improvement of the energy efficiency of the envelope in the residential sector” of the document delivered by the MITMA to the European Commission, and are the following:
urbanZEB is part of a new generation of strategic tools based on the Urban Building Energy Model (UBEM) methodology, especially aimed at public administration and urban planning and architecture teams working on projects at the urban area level.
The result is a 2D and 3D viewer where you can visualize various indicators on the current state of the building, the energy demand data of residential buildings in their current state and after subjecting them to an energy renovation, as well as the estimated costs of these interventions. The tool allows thematic filtering and delimitation of specific areas of study and joint consultations, although it is also possible to consult the data individually at building level.
