Us

We are a cooperative founded by architecture and research professionals, with the aim of contributing to environmental balance and social equity, providing solutions that integrate our three areas of action: architecture, community and environment.

The approach of the cooperative is based on the trans-scalar understanding from the building to the territory, in the consideration of all environmental vectors, -energy, water, organic matter, materials, polluting emissions, etc.-, and in the citizen and community involvement in decision-making.

The main activity of the cooperative is focused on research, development and innovation (R+D+I); and on the transfer of this new knowledge, methodologies and tools to society, to the business fabric, to the social and solidarity economy and the third sector, to the public administration and to the academic environment.

The services of the cooperative take the form of plans and strategies; consulting; building projects, public space and landscape; citizen participation and community support; teaching and curating.

Team

Cíclica has a team of professionals with complementary profiles who have more than 10 years of experience in projects and consulting, between innovation in research and entrepreneurship.

PhD Architect. Contemporary habitation models and urban sustainable habitability is his field of expertise. He coordinates projects in building and town planning making a special effort in the renovation and transformation of the city towards sustainability.

Joaquim Arcas Abella

Executive Director

Architect. Ecological urbanism, landscape ecology and sustainable land management is her area of expertise. She coordinates projects integrating transformation of social metabolism in urbanism. Associated professor (UPC)

Elena Albareda Fernández

Coordinator

Architect specialized in social architecture, basic habitability and energy culture. Coordinates urban rehabilitation and regeneration and citizen energy transition projects.

Anaïs Bas Mantilla

Coordinator

Architect specialized in sustainable urban renovation. Participates in projects regarding energy efficiency and reusability. Coordinated a civic energy transition project.

Environmentalist. GIS Specialist, Python Developer, Backend Data and Management Analyst. Always within the scope of OpenSource.
